Most route planners are very good at getting you somewhere quickly. Make My Drive Fun asks a different question: what would make the road between here and there worth remembering? Give it a start and a destination, and it searches near your route for unusual museums, giant objects, local history, outsider art, scenic curiosities, and other reasons to stretch your legs.

Start with the drive you are already taking

You do not need to invent an epic cross-country trip. A weekend visit, a long airport run, or the familiar drive to see family is enough. Enter your starting place and destination, then choose Find fun stops. The map draws the route and the results panel builds a compact shortlist from the attractions near it.

Each result shows how far it sits from the route. Select a card to see its description, location, and links for directions or more background. The initial list favors a varied spread of stops, so one town with ten similar attractions does not crowd out everything else. If you want the full catalog view, choose Show all finds.

Treat the shortlist as a conversation starter

A good road-trip stop depends on the people in the car. One crew may happily spend an hour in a tiny museum; another only wants a five-minute photo and a snack. Use the map to spot the possibilities, then open the details that fit your time, interests, and tolerance for giant fiberglass animals.

• Check current hours, access, and admission before making a long detour.
• Prefer a few memorable stops over filling every mile of the drive.
• Leave a little unplanned time; roadside discoveries have a way of expanding.

Save the trip by saving the link

Your route lives in the page address. After a search, use Copy route link and keep it in a note, text it to the other passengers, or add it to the calendar event for the trip. Opening the link restores the ordered route stops and runs the search again, which means everyone can begin with the same plan while still checking the latest nearby finds.
